The Big50 is a hall-of-fame type award for remodeling professionals. Every May, REMODELING MAGAZINE inducts 50 new companies who have set the standard for professionalism and integrity through smart marketing, exemplary business practices, unique design, and extraordinary impact on their community or the industry at large. Big50 remodelers run successful, growing companies of various sizes that have taken the lead in raising the standards of the industry. To date, more than 1,000 remodelers who have demonstrated such excellence can boast being a member of the Big50. The award recognizes excellence and leadership, and the companies who belong to this select group set an example for the rest of the industry.

The annual listing is published to recognize remodeling firms for six criteria of success: Annual sales volume for the previous year, total number of years in business, association membership, certified employees on staff, industry awards and community service.

Remodeling 550 Remodeling Magazine and its sister publication Replacement Contractor collect revenue data from hundreds of companies around the industry. Once the numbers are in, editors divide the list of the 550 largest companies into four categories: full-service remodeling, replacement contractors, franchises, and insurance restoration. We are proud to say that we have received this award annually.

Founded in 1975, Qualified Remodeler was the first magazine dedicated to serve the residential and light commercial remodeling industry.
Cygnus Business Media, a Commerce Connect company, publishes the magazine, which serves more than 101,000 remodeling firms nationwide.
